Delta Electronics Debuts Summit-Certified DNM POLs

February 16, 2005 by Jeff Shepard

Delta Electronics Inc. (Taipei, Taiwan), in conjunction with Summit Microelectronics Inc. (San Jose, CA), a supplier of programmable mixed-signal power management platform solutions, announced certification of Delta's Delphi Series DNM point-of-load (POL), board-mounted dc-dc converters for use with Summit's family of adaptive controllers.

The Delphi Series DNM, DNL and DNS families of POL converters offers programmable output voltages. Other features include the programmable tracking and sequencing functions, which provide both a variety of startup voltages as well as sequencing and tracking between modules. Available in both SMD and SIP packages, the converters claim a 6 A unit (DNL), a 10 A unit (DNM) and a 16 A unit (DNS), all which have been certified for use with Summit's adaptive controllers, as the DNL and DNS versions of the series of modules have the same electrical characteristics as the fully tested and certified DNM model.

The Summit Certified Program benefits dc-dc converter makers by making it easier for their customers to verify that their products are compatible with Summit Microelectronics precision controllers. Sample quantities of Delta's Delphi DNM POL converters are available for immediate delivery. In OEM quantities of 1,000 pieces, the unit price is $8.80. Standard lead time is from stock to eight weeks, depending on the volume.
