TDK-Lambda Unveils 50 and 75W Power Supplies with 10 Year Life

TDK-Lambda Americas has unveiled its latest additions to its ZWS line of compact ac-dc power supplies. The 50W ZWS50BAF and 75W ZWS75BAF combine high efficiency, even at low load conditions, with a wide operating temperature range, small size and up to 10-years electrolytic capacitor life, reinforcing TDK-Lambda’s competitive advantage in the general industrial and commercial equipment market.

These new models accept a very wide AC input range of 85-264Vac, have a low profile of 1.0 to 1.3", and compact footprints of 2.0 by 5.2" to 5.9" long, making them well suited for applications in light industrial, factory automation, LED signage, Test & Measurement, gaming, point-of-sale and IT equipment.

These new open frame supplies feature a universal AC input with PFC, enabling them to be used anywhere in the world. Plus, they can operate from a 120-370Vdc input. The ZWS50-75BAF is designed to withstand 3kVac, input-to-output. The series are available with an output voltage of 3.3, 5, 12, 15, 24 or 48Vdc, all of which have a ±10% adjustment range for non-standard system requirements.

Small in size and offering an efficiency of up to 88%, which is considered high for a PCB-type power supply, all models in the ZWS50-75BAF series feature an operating temperature range of -10 to +70°C, allowing 100% load operation in a 50°C environment. Standard features include overcurrent and overvoltage protection circuitry.

The ZWS50-75BAF series feature global ITE and general purpose safety agency certifications per UL/CSA/EN60950-1, EN50178 (OV II), are CE Marked, meet the conducted and radiated EMI requirements of EN55011/EN55022-B, VCCI-B and FCC Class B, which is much tougher to meet than Class A. All units are RoHS compliant.
