Exar Adds Senior Sales and Marketing Executive

Power Channels: Power Components

Exar Corp. announced that Steve Bakos will join the company on July 9, 2012 as Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing reporting to company president and CEO Louis DiNardo. Bakos will replace Chris Dingley who previously served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales.

"Steve Bakos brings many years of successful sales and marketing experience to Exar. Steve is a results oriented leader with a deep understanding of the markets upon which we focus. I am confident that he will drive successful penetration in the networking, communications, computing and peripherals, as well as industrial and consumer markets," commented DiNardo. "Steve has a well-developed understanding of global account strategies and a long history of effectively managing electronic component distribution partners."

Prior to joining Exar Corporation, Bakos served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Conexant Corporation. He has held executive sales and marketing positions at SiTime, a privately held manufacturer of MEMS devices; Active Semiconductor, a privately held power management company, as well as Intersil, Xicor and Linear Technology. He began his career at National Semiconductor.
