Fairchild Semiconductor Signs a Reseller Agreement with RS Components

Fairchild Semiconductor announced an expansion of its distribution agreement with RS Components (RS). The expanded agreement recognizes RS Components as an authorized reseller of Fairchild products and is intended to enable an improved customer purchasing experience of Fairchild's broad portfolio of mobile, energy-efficient power analog, power discrete and optoelectronic solutions.

"RS Components has proven to be a highly professional distributor with an unsurpassed reputation for service excellence," said Mark Norman, senior vice president, worldwide regional sales, marketing and distribution. "Their commitment to support Fairchild will bring multiple benefits to the supply chain, providing our customers with more solution offerings which are readily available to ship to any location."

RS Components currently holds inventory of around 1,500 Fairchild parts, and recently added more than 400 new products. Further expansion of their inventory will eventually include the entire Fairchild product line and will be available from stock for same-day dispatch.

Fred Knowles, global head of product inventory at RS Components, commented, "This agreement is a strong endorsement of the successful partnership that has developed between our two companies.
