E-T-A and Victron Energy Announce New Interface for PowerPlex

E-T-A and Victron announce a new Victron interface for E-T-A PowerPlex. With PowerPlex, users can easily control electrical equipment on a boat or special vehicle. Thanks to this new interface, it is now possible to control a Victron MultiPlus or Quattro inverter/battery charger and other Victron products with PowerPlex.

E-T-A is specialized in the design and development of circuit breakers for the protection of electrical equipment. They have also developed their own CAN-bus multiplexing system: PowerPlex. PowerPlex is an electrical distribution system with which equipment on-board boats and special vehicles is protected and can be operated. PowerPlex is an open system which can be configured on any PC/Laptop operating under Windows.

Energy Efficiency with Class D Amplifier Modules

Class-D switching amplifiers are helping audio designers create personal multimedia devices and home audio/visual systems that demonstrate how compact and stylish equipment can also deliver high sound quality and high audio output power. The key to this breakthrough, providing freedom from the large and bulky boxes housing traditional audio products, lies in the class-D amplifier’s high energy efficiency, which is typically around 90%. This allows designers to reduce or eliminate heatsinks as well as using smaller-sized PCBs and smaller components such as transformers, connectors and power supplies.
