The IPS facility will operate as the center of excellence for Unipower's dc power systems and customers will have the products of both companies available, as well as C&D batteries. Christian Rheault, C&D CEO commented, "We are delighted to pass on our expertise in the dc power electronics Industry to a market focused company like Unipower. We believe customers will benefit greatly by having a supplier that focuses on this important area, while C&D concentrates on the critical battery markets. We know that our mutual customers will benefit by our two companies focusing on our respective core competencies and we look forward to working with Unipower in the future to help make that happen."
