John Gutfreund Joins Evercel's Board of Directors

Evercel Inc. (Danbury, CT) recently announced that John H. Gutfreund, former chairman and CEO of Solomon Brothers Inc. and former vice chairman of the New York Stock Exchange, has joined Evercel's board of directors.

"We're pleased that John is offering his unparalleled global market experience to the Evercel board," said Robert L. Kanode, president and CEO of Evercel. "As we press forward with our plans to manufacture and sell premium rechargeable batteries here and abroad, John's knowledge and insight are sure to be invaluable to Evercel's board, management team and shareholders."
